Ítem Acceso abierto Serological markers in blood donors treated at a Level III National Hospital and a Level III Specialized Reference Center 2014-2016(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-09-30) Rivas Cárdenas, Arturo Alexander; Palacios Butrón, Fernando SarcoThe significant impact on public health from the transmission of infections through blood transfusion occurs not only globally but also nationally, which is why we are not immune to this issue. This is especially true in a system where health centers are not interconnected, and the differences between centers receiving voluntary donors are noticeable, as they do not follow statistical reports that would allow for analysis and strengthening of programs for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. Therefore, it is important to determine the most recurrent serological markers in blood donors attended at a National Hospital of III level compared to a III level Specialized Reference Center. This is a hypothetical-deductive study with a quantitative applied approach, using an observational, cross-sectional design. The most recurrent serological markers were found in donors attended at a National Hospital of III level (6611) compared to the III level Specialized Reference Center (1076). The tests with the highest reactivity were anti-core of the hepatitis B virus (3404) and hepatitis B surface antigen (190). Lima is the department with the highest number of positive cases, with 4270 at the National III level Hospital and 823 at the III level Specialized Reference Center.
