Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practices of percutaneous catheter management in neonatal intensive care units in a hospital, Lima -2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-07-21) Rivera Flores, Sharoon Elizabeth; Mori Castro, Jaime AlbertoCurrently, the use of peripheral insertion catheters has become an essential and widely adopted practice in neonatal services. The purpose of this study is to establish the link between practices and levels of cognition regarding the use of percutaneous catheters in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a healthcare center located in Lima - 2024. Methodologically, a quantifiable approach will be employed, using the deductive method, basic type, cross-sectional study, and a non-experimental correlational design. Three instruments will be applied: a questionnaire and two observation sheets for 80 nurses.The results will be obtained through descriptive statistical analysis and presented in tables and bar charts. Additionally, a normality test will be used to select the most appropriate statistical method, enabling hypothesis testing and determining the association between variables.
