Ítem Acceso abierto Resilience and level of anxiety in patients undergoing a colonoscopy procedure at the gastroenterology office of the Dafisalud Lima polyclinic - 2022.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-07-25) Rodríguez Fernández, Romina Fernanda; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: To determine the association between resilience and anxiety level of patients undergoing colonoscopy at the gastroenterology clinic of the Dafisalud polyclinic. Material and methods: It had a quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational approach. It was carried out on a sample of 65 patients who underwent colonoscopy procedures; two instruments were used: the 14-item Resilience Scale (ER – 14) questionnaire by Wagnild, which calculated the level of individual resilience, and the 20-item Spielberger Self-Evaluation Anxiety Inventory (IDARE). Results: 94% of the total patients surveyed presented a high level of resilience, on the other hand, 77% of the patients evaluated presented a high level of anxiety, followed by 23% with a medium level of anxiety. Conclusion: It is concluded that there is a statistically significant association between resilience and the level of anxiety of patients undergoing colonoscopy at the gastroenterology office of the Dafisalud polyclinic, the Rho Spearman coefficient is -0.280, which indicates that the association between the variables is inverse and its degree of relationship is low.
