    Effectiveness of myofascial release on quality of life and functional capacity in patients with cervical myofascial pain syndrome of the regional hospital of Arequipa, 2022

    Objective: To study the effectiveness of myofascial release on quality of life and functional capacity in patients with cervical myofascial pain syndrome at a hospital in Arequipa. Myofascial release therapy will be applied to patients with cervical pain to demonstrate that this is the most appropriate treatment. Materials and Methods: The population will consist of patients diagnosed with cervical myofascial pain syndrome attending the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department of the III Honorio Delgado Espinoza Regional Hospital in Arequipa, from July to December 2022. The sample will include 60 patients diagnosed with cervical myofascial pain syndrome, with 30 patients in the experimental group receiving myofascial release therapy and 30 in the control group receiving conventional therapy. The research method will be hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, applied, longitudinal, and comparative. The experimental research design will include a quasi-experimental subdesign with pre-test and post-test and a control group.
