    Workload and musculoskeletal disorders in workers in the cleaning and ballasting area of the sima chimbote 2023 company

    Musculoskeletal disorders are a set of physical conditions mainly caused by physical and mental overexertion. Such overexertions were evidenced in my research. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between workload and musculoskeletal disorders in cleaning and casting workers at SIMA company, Chimbote 2023. A hypothetical-deductive method was used in this quantitative, cross-sectional, correlational study with a population of 134 workers and a sample of 100. A survey was used as the technique, with two instruments: a workload questionnaire validated by the judgment of 3 experts, and the standardized Nordic questionnaire for musculoskeletal disorders. The results showed that 85.0% of the workers had a high workload, and the physical and mental load dimensions had the same high level at 85.0%. It was concluded with 95% confidence that the workload variable correlates positively with a high level of musculoskeletal disorders, with a Rho = 0.896, and it is significant for workers in the cleaning and casting area of SIMA Chimbote in 2023.
