Ítem Acceso abierto Patient safety culture and event prevention adverse events by the nurse in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Huaral, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-08-27) Rodriguez Nagao, Katia Thalia; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioIntroduction: At present, it is of great interest worldwide that the care provided by the health professional guarantee patient safety, which is why the patient safety culture is considered a key element to minimize or eliminate errors and also It is important to implement measures to prevent adverse events. Objective: To determine the relationship between the culture of patient safety with the prevention of adverse events by the nursing professional in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Huaral, 2023. Method: The research method belongs to the applied, hypothetical - deductive, with a quantitative approach and correlational scope. The study population consists of 50 nurses who work in the intensive care unit. Data collection: For the first variable, the modified Likert-type questionnaire "Medical Office Survey on Patient Safety Culture (MOSPS)" and the MINSA Observation Guide for the prevention of adverse events will be used for the second variable; both instruments have validity and reliability, with a value of 0.885 and 0.937 respectively. The data collected will be processed in the SPSS statistic and the analyzes will be carried out using the Spearman correlation coefficient test.
