The role of the mother is positively associated with the development of socialization by the child, increasing the relationship between the two. Parenting styles are: authoritative or democratic, where parents establish clear rules and communicate them to their children; permissive, in which they grant wide freedom to their children and avoid imposing rules in their home; and, authoritarian, with incessant desire for power and control on the part of the parents. Objective: Determine the parenting styles of the mothers of school-age children in the community of Mirones Alto. Material and methods: Quantitative, descriptive and observational, cross-sectional study. The population is made up of 789 mothers and the sample was determined to be 137. The main variable will be evaluated through the Robinson Parental Practices Questionnaire adapted by Fernández and Vera, which serves to evaluate the attitudes of parents in raising children. children. For the data collection process, the interview technique will be used.
