Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practices on breast cancer prevention in women at the Pichanaki Support Hospital, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-02-02) Rojas Blanco, Kenia Lezzie; Caldas Herrera, Maria EvelinaIts methodology is attributed to a basic prospective correlational level that used validated questionnaires in the evaluation of a sample made up of 287 female patients attending the gynecobstetrics service, highlighting the prevalence of a medium level of knowledge of the generalities and implications of breast cancer in 69.70% and 19.50% registered a low level, likewise, 65.90% of the patients registered a regular level of practices that counteract or stop the spread of cancer in the breast area and 32.10% choose to implement good care or protection measures for breast health by carrying out healthy routines that involve balanced nutrition, periodic physical exercise, appropriate rest, hydration and attendance at medical reviews, therefore, a positive association was identified between both variables, confirmed with a Spearman's Rho equal to 0.237 together with a p-value less than 5%. In conclusion, there is a positive correlation between the level of knowledge acquired and preventive practices against cancer located in the breasts in women in the age group of 20 to 50 years who attend the Pichanaki Support Hospital located in the Junín region.
