    Factors associated with anemia in 5-year-old children who attend a health center in Cono Norte, Lima 2022

    Anemia is a condition that can affect children during their growth if there is no timely care from their mothers. For this reason, the objective of this study was "to determine the factors associated with anemia in 5-year-old children who attend the Santiago Apóstol health center, Lima 2022". Material and method: hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach and nonexperimental design. The population and the sample consisted of 80 infants under 5 years of age who attend the Santiago Apóstol health center, Lima. Results: it was possible to verify that there is a significant relationship between the factors associated with anemia in 5-year-old children who attend a health center, Lima 2022, with a value of p <0.5; On the other hand, it was found that nutritional factors have a significant relationship with anemia in 5-year-old children who attend the Santiago Apóstol health center, Lima 2022, with a value of p<.05. Conclusions: sociodemographic, nutritional and social factors predict 53.3% of anemia events found, in addition it was found that, of all the existing indicators in the study sample, those that have a strong relationship with anemia have resulted from breastfeeding and iron supplementation status.
