Publicación Acceso abierto Incidencia del uso de benzodiacepinas en casos de supuestos delitos contra la libertad sexual realizados en la Dirección de Criminalística de la Policía Nacional del Perú, año 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-02-03) Rivera León, Daniela Alicia; Rojas Vega, Angélica María; Rivas Altez, WalterThis research aimed to determine the incidence of benzodiazepine use in alleged sexual freedom crimes reported at the Criminalistics Directorate of the Peruvian National Police in 2021. The method employed was deductive, with a quantitative approach, basic type, and non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive design. A total of 1,017 toxicological expert reports meeting the inclusion criteria were analyzed. The technique used was document analysis, and the data collection tool was a data collection sheet. Results: The findings showed the incidence of crimes against sexual freedom during 2021, with a high number of reported cases involving females, within the age range of 18 to 25 years, originating from police stations in downtown Lima. Intermediate-acting benzodiazepines were the most commonly used substances in cases of sexual assault. Conclusion: There is a high incidence of benzodiazepine use in alleged sexual freedom crimes reported at the Criminalistics Directorate of the Peruvian National Police in 2021.
