    Level of knowledge in diabetic foot prevention and its relationship with self-care practices in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Chincha Polyclinic - Essalud Lima 2022

    The present investigation entitled: "Level of Knowledge in Prevention of diabetic foot and its relationship with self-care practices in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Chincha Polyclinic - EsSalud Lima 2022", aimed to analyze the relationship of the level of knowledge in the prevention of diabetic foot with self-care practices in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at the Chincha Polyclinic - EsSalud Lima 2022. The present study is of a correlational type and will verify the relationship between the level of knowledge in prevention of diabetic foot and self-care practices. The population was 204 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and the sample is those who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The technique used was the application of two instruments, the test "Evaluation of the level of knowledge of prevention of diabetic foot", and the test "Evaluation of the level of practice on self-care of diabetic foot", the reliability of the instruments was obtained through Cronbach's alpha coefficient, by means of the application of a pilot test of 20 to 21 patients with diabetes with the same characteristics of the subjects, obtaining a reliability of 0.69 and 0.78 respectively.
