Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge about tuberculosis preventive measures and practice in the relatives of patients with tuberculosis at the Health Center October 3, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-06) Rosales Siche, Leslie Nicolle; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe present research was developed with the objective of "determining the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of preventive measures in relatives of patients with tuberculosis". Methodology: A quantitative approach was applied, applied research type, non-experimental design, transactional cut, with a sample composed of 104 relatives of patients with tuberculosis, with a stratified random sampling, the technique used was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire Test of knowledge of preventive measures of pulmonary tuberculosis and the questionnaire Attitude Scale for Preventive Measures of pulmonary Tuberculosis. In the results it was observed that 35.58% presented a regular level of knowledge about preventive measures. But there is a significant percentage that still has a limited knowledge of the practices, 35.58% of the people were found to have regular preventive practices. In conclusion, a positive and significant correlation was found between the level of knowledge with a correlation coefficient of 0.882** (p<0.000), so the alternate hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.
