    Anxiety and hopelessness in adolescents who attend the San Cosme de la Victoria Community Mental Health Center

    Introduction: According to the WHO, we are in the "age of anxiety" and it is reported that the mental health of the youth population has worsened as a result of the pandemic and a series of concomitant social factors, one in seven adolescents and young people aged 10 to 19 years suffer from different mental disorders. Objective: To determine how anxiety is related to hopelessness in adolescents attending the San Cosme Community Mental Health Center in La Victoria, Lima - 2022. Methodology: the study is a quantitative, cross-sectional correlational, non-experimental design. Eighty adolescents and men between 12 and 19 years of age will participate and will be surveyed using internationally validated and reliable psychometrically validated instruments such as the Beck Anxiety Inventory and the Beck Hopelessness Scale. The data will begin with data coding, tabulating and then passing them to the SPSS v.26 program, and by means of the statistical tests of Spearman's correlation coefficient, the hypotheses of the variables of the qualitative study will be tested. It will be concluded that this research has an important relationship with anxiety disorders towards expectations of the future with hopelessness.
