Introduction: Infectious diseases are no longer among the leading causes of death worldwide; instead, poor lifestyle habits and unhealthy eating behaviors have become major contributors to overweight and obesity. This study aimed to evaluate and verify the relationship between these key variables. Objective: To determine the relationship between lifestyle and nutritional status in merchants of the Santa Rosa Market in Jicamarca, Annex 8, during the pandemic period. Methodology: This was a hypothetical-deductive, quantitative study designed to obtain statistical data that would address the study objectives. The design was non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational, as the variables were not manipulated, data were collected at a single point in time, and the study sought to describe relationships between variables. The sample included 100 market merchants. Results: A significant relationship was found between female sex and nutritional status, with a p-value of 0.034 for overweight and 0.015 for obesity. Similarly, significant associations were identified between lifestyle and nutritional status, specifically in physical activity (p = 0.025), diet (p = 0.005), sleep quality (p = 0.036), and leisure time (p = 0.043). Conclusion: All variables under study were found to be significantly related to the nutritional status of the participants.
