Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and attitudes about measures to prevent acute respiratory infections in mothers of children under 5 years old at the "C.S. Mariscal Castilla - Rímac 2017"(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-12-04) Sánchez Barrantes, Ingrid Melissa; Gere Reyna, Cinthia Rocio; Huapaya Pizarro, Cleopatra de AméricaMaterial and method: this research had a quantitative approach with a descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 60 mothers, the survey was used as a technique and the questionnaire designed by the researchers as an instrument. Result: they showed that in terms of knowledge the medium level predominates with 51.7%, followed by high level with 45% and finally 3.3% low level, in terms of attitude of the mothers they were mostly favorable with 68.3% and 31.7% unfavorable . The correlation was determined using Pearson's Chi-square statistical test, where P value is 0.023. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of preventive measures for Acute Respiratory Infections in mothers of children under 5 years of age, in terms of knowledge the average level and a favorable attitude predominate.
