Rodríguez (2019), in Spain, reports that the support provided by additional information such as text messages from nursing staff to the families of patients admitted to the ICU about their evolution increased the satisfaction of their needs and therefore hence the perceived quality of care in the ICU. Revealing that of the total number of respondents, 48.5% rate it as very useful. The objective of the present study is to analyze the satisfaction of the family member of the critically ill patient in the intensive care unit of the Dos de Mayo National Hospital, Lima 2020. This study responds to the research line of the Norbert Wiener University "Health, illness and environment" . The purpose of this research work is to identify the level of satisfaction of the patient's relatives in the intensive care unit with respect to the care provided by the nursing staff, according to 7 dimensions: General satisfaction, technical quality, interpersonal manner, communication , financial aspects, time dedicated by the doctor, accessibility and convenience.
