Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of sternal closure with absorbable materials in cardiac surgeries through median sternotomy in the prevention of complications(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-08-18) Condor Rios, Ruth Esperanza; Sánchez Linares, Cyntia Margot; Calsin Pacompia, WilmerObjective: To analyze the evidence on the effectiveness of sternal closure with absorbable materials in cardiac surgeries through median sternotomy in the prevention of complications. Materials and Methods: Systematic, quantitative review; Grade system. Population of 19 articles, sample: 10 scientific articles published and indexed in databases: PubMed, EBSCO and Academic Google, Grade system. Results: The studies correspond to 40% control cases, 40% randomized clinical trials and 20% analytical cross-sectional, absorbable materials are fibrin-coated sheet, collagen, bone cement, biological adhesive; They report lower rates of instability compared to conventional sternal closure; use of absorbable L-Poly-Lactide acid pins with or without hydroxyapatite, reports lower rates of sternal displacement, greater bone density and tension force overload to achieve anteroposterior displacement; one study used polyglyconate suture in high-risk patients without finding sternal dehiscence; frozen bone graft has lower rates of sternal instability and infection compared to the control group. Conclusions: 90% of the studies reviewed (n= 9/10) show effectiveness of sternal closure with absorbable materials in cardiac surgeries through median sternotomy, obtaining better rates of instability and sternal dehiscence, sternal displacement, favoring osteogenesis, sternal fusion. 10% of studies show ineffectiveness in sternal closureÍtem Acceso abierto Sleep quality and its relationship with daytime sleepiness in the nursing staff of the cardiology and cardiovascular service during the covid 19 pandemic in Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-11-28) Sánchez Linares, Cyntia Margot; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To determine the relationship between sleep quality and daytime sleepiness in nursing staff in the cardiology and cardiovascular service during the COVID 19 pandemic in Lima 2021. Material and method: The study will have a quantitative approach, of an applied type and a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational design. The representative sample of the study, made up of 60 nurses who work in the cardiology and cardiovascular service at a Specialized Heart Institute, will be selected in their work during the period of the Covid 19 Pandemic. A survey will be applied to them using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (ICSP) and Epworth Daytime Sleepiness Scale instruments; the data will be statistically measured with the Chi square test and the Pearson Correlation coefficient. The collection of the data obtained will be carried out for a period of 02 months and will be organized in the Excel program for quality control and corresponding organization; later it will be exported to the IBM SPSS Statistics software version 24.0. Statistical Analysis: Descriptive statistical tests such as absolute frequencies, relative frequencies and measures of central tendency and dispersion and graphical representations were applied for the variables mentioned in this study.
