    Efficacy of dialytic treatment compared to conservative treatment for survival in elderly patients with end-stage renal disease.

    Objective: To systematize and evidence the efficacy of kidney transplantation in the reduction of the risk of graft loss for survival in pediatric patients. Materials and Methods: The study is quantitative, with a systematic review design. The population consisted of 39 articles that were reviewed, and 10 scientific articles were selected as the sample. Of these, 20% (n=2/10) were systematic reviews, 10% (n=1/10) were systematic review and meta-analysis, and 70% (n=7/10) were cohort studies. According to the quality of evidence, 30% was rated as high and 70% as moderate. In terms of the strength of recommendations, 30% were strong and 70% were weak, based on the country where the research was conducted. Results: The reviewed articles show that 40% (n=4/10) indicate the efficacy of renal replacement therapy in the risk of graft loss for survival in pediatric patients. Another 40% (n=4/10) state that it is partially effective, and 20% (n=2/10) state it is not effective. Conclusion: It is concluded that 40% (n=4/10) indicates that renal replacement therapy is partially effective in the risk of graft loss for survival in pediatric patients.

    EFICACIA DEL TRATAMIENTO DIALÍTICO EN COMPARACIÓN CON EL TRATAMIENTO CONSERVADOR PARA LA SUPERVIVENCIA EN PACIENTES ANCIANOS CON ENFERMEDAD RENAL EN ETAPA TERMINAL.

    Objetivo: Analizar sistemáticamente la eficacia tratamiento dialítico en comparación con el tratamiento conservador para la supervivencia en pacientes ancianos con enfermedad renal en etapa terminal. Metodología: Revisión Sistemática de tipo cuantitativo, de 10 artículos científicos encontrados sobre eficacia del tratamiento dialítico en comparación con el tratamiento conservador para la supervivencia en pacientes ancianos con enfermedad renal en etapa terminal, fueron encontrados en la siguiente base de datos Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline Pubmed, todos ellos fueron analizados según la escala Grade para determinar su fuerza y calidad de evidencia. De los 10 artículos científicos, el 50% (n= 5/10) es revisión sistemática, 10% (n= 1/10) revisión sistemática - meta-análisis y el 40 % (n= 4/10) son estudios de cohorte. Los estudios proceden de: USA (30%), seguida de Australia (20%), Inglaterra (20%), Filipinas (10%), Italia (10%) y Países Bajos (10%). Resultados: El 80% (n = 8/10) de 10 artículos revisados afirman eficacia del tratamiento dialítico en comparación con el tratamiento conservador para la supervivencia en pacientes ancianos con enfermedad renal en etapa terminal y el 20% (n=2/10) de las evidencias, refieren que no hay ventaja significativa entre ambas modalidades. Conclusión: De los 10 artículos revisados 8 afirman eficacia del tratamiento dialítico en comparación con el tratamiento conservador para la supervivencia en pacientes ancianos con enfermedad renal en etapa terminal y 2 de las evidencias, refieren que no hay ventaja significativa entre ambas modalidades.
