The present study aims to analyze the rational use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in patients who visit the pharmacy chain "Vida y Salud" in the district of San Martín de Porres. Methodology: The research is non-experimental, deductive, quantitative, and applied. The population consisted of all patients who frequented the pharmacy chain "Vida y Salud" in the district of San Martín de Porres during April and May 2023. A questionnaire was administered to participants after obtaining their informed consent. Results: The findings indicate that 51% of patients purchase medications only when prescribed by healthcare professionals, and 49.5% report that healthcare professionals always explain how to use NSAIDs. Additionally, 63.5% stated that when purchasing the medication, they are attended to by a pharmacist. Conclusion: Patients visiting the pharmacy chain "Vida y Salud" in the district of San Martín de Porres demonstrate a rational use of NSAIDs. Furthermore, it is observed that the level of knowledge among patients is generally high, and they primarily take NSAIDs with a medical prescription. However, a significant number of patients still lack sufficient understanding of the rational use of NSAIDs.
