Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge of body mechanics and musculoskeletal disorders in technical nursing staff of a private clinic, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-02-03) Sánchez Zamora, María Elsita; Uturunco Vera, Milagros LizbethThe objective of the study was "To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of body mechanics and musculoskeletal disorders in the nursing staff of the hospitalization service of the Maison de Sante clinic, headquarters-Surco, 2022". For this, the hypothetical deductive, applied, correlative method was used, it was made up of 35 nursing technicians from the aforementioned institution. Spearman's correlation coefficient test was used. The results show that the level of knowledge in the dimension: general aspects is low with 2.9%, medium with 40% and high with 57.1%, dimension: elements of body mechanics: low with 11.4%, medium with a 71.4% and high with 17.1%, dimension: body mechanics guidelines: low with 0%, medium with 40% and high with 60%. Regarding musculoskeletal disorders: 45.7% had no pain, 45.7% mild, 8.6% moderate, and 0% severe/intolerant. The significant relationship between the level of knowledge of body mechanics and musculoskeletal disorders was observed with a significance value of 0.000<0.05, therefore the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternate hypothesis was accepted, that is to say that there is a relationship between both variables was also observed, the correlation between knowledge of body mechanics and body disorders according to the value of Spearman's coefficient of -0.601, indicating a positive and negative relationship. In conclusion, both variables are related, the higher the level of knowledge of body mechanics, the fewer musculoskeletal disorders will suffer the nursing technician of the Maison de Sante Sede-Surco Private Clinic, Lima-2022.
