It is important that they have a good understanding of these devices in order to provide safe and effective care to their patients. Therefore, nurses must be well trained in these topics in order to provide safe and effective care to their patients. Objective: "To determine how knowledge relates to central venous catheter care in nurses in the intensive care unit of a private clinic in Lima, 2023". Methodology: Using the hypothetico-deductive method and a quantitative approach, a non-experimental applied research study will be conducted at a correlational and cross-sectional level. The census sample of 68 nurses will be given a knowledge questionnaire whose validity has been tested and has a reliability of Cronbach's Alpha = 0.96. In addition, the nurses' care will be observed and measured using a valid observation guide with a reliability of KR-20=0.83. The statistical program SPSS 26 will be used for data analysis. The presentation and discussion of the results will be done through tables and figures.
