    The objective of this research, titled "Quantification of Foreign Particles in Binary System Parenteral Nutrition Admixtures at the Medical Nutrición Compounding Center, Lima, 2016," was to determine the quantification of foreign particles in binary system parenteral nutrition (PN) admixtures at the Medical Nutrición compounding center in Lima in 2016. The study was observational, descriptive, prospective, and cross-sectional. A data registration form was used. The method employed for the determination of the number and size of foreign particles was the Microscopic Particle Count Test (Method 2). Results: The average quantity of foreign particles was 0.695 particles per mL for particles >10 µm, and 0.235 particles per mL for particles >25 µm. None of the samples (0.0%) exceeded the established limits. Conclusion: The product complies with the parameters established by USP 39 Chapter 788 related to the number and size of particles in injectables.
