    Anxiety and depression in patients with renal diseases at the Vida Renal Dialysis Center in San Juan de Miraflores, Lima-2023

    This research aimed to determine the relationship between anxiety and depression in patients with kidney diseases at the Vida Renal dialysis center in San Juan de Miraflores. A non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional design was used. The sample consisted of 52 patients with kidney diseases, 59.6% men and 40.4% women, ranging in age from 24 to 99 years. The Zung Anxiety Scale and Zung Depression Scale were administered. The results revealed that anxiety was significantly correlated (p<0.01) with depression in a moderate positive manner (rho=0.55). Thus, if patients develop higher levels of anxiety, their depression levels will increase.
