Ítem Acceso abierto Coping strategies and work stress of the nursing professional in the intensive care unit of the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital, Lima 2022.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-04-24) Saldaña Fustamante, Herlinda; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaIntroduction: Work stress is defined as any discomfort perceived by the individual that is stimulated by activities perceived as too intense and frequent, which exceed a person's coping capabilities and management resources; Therefore, successful management or minimization of stress at work depends on the individual's ability to identify and adapt using coping strategies. Objective: To determine the relationship between coping strategies and work stress of nursing professionals in the Intensive Care Unit of the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital, Lima 2022. Methodology: The research method will be hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, basic type and correlational design; the population will be 90 nursing professionals and the sample of 72 nurses. The information will be collected using two validated forms, to measure the first variable about the coping strategies, the Coping Estimation Questionnaire of Carver, Scheier & Weintraub (United States, 1989) will be used, with a significant reliability level of 0.77 by Cronbach's Alpha and for the variable of work stress, the Nursing Stress Scale - NSS by Pamela Gray-Toft and James G. Anderson (United States, 1999) will be used, being the confidentiality of Cronbach's Alpha giving a result of 0.76. The statistical analysis will be carried out using the SPSS program, and to contrast the hypotheses, the Spearman Correlational Test (Rho) will be used.
