Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between corpuscular constants and ferrokinetics in pregnant women with anemia who attend the EsSalud Bagua Hospital, during the year 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-24) Samamé Céspedes, José Guillermo; Huamán Cárdenas, Victor RaulAnemia, according to the World Health Organization, remains a global concern, particularly for children and pregnant women. The NTS No. 021-MINSA/DGSP-V.03 classifies health establishments, with second-level hospitals required to have specialties like Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Clinical Pathology services. The Peruvian norm sets diagnostic laboratory criteria for anemia in pregnant women, including the measurement of hematocrit, hemoglobin, iron, and corpuscular constants, and emphasizes the importance of additional tests such as serum ferritin. These parameters are essential for determining anemia severity and causes. Accurate diagnosis involves assessing the relationship between corpuscular constants and ferrokinetics through serum iron, ferritin, and transferrin tests, to apply effective treatment in pregnant women, where anemia is prevalent in Peru.
