Ítem Acceso abierto The rationing of nursing care in the relation to adverse events and satisfaction of the patient(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-04) Enciso Gutiérrez, Clara Ynes; Sanchez Candia, Esther Vicenta; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MariaObjective: Systematize the evidence on nursing care rationing in relation to adverse events and patient satisfaction. Materials and Methods: The systematic review evaluated 10 scientific articles found in the databases: Scielo, Epistemonikos, Google Scholar, where we found 10 full-text scientific evidences. The search was restricted, and the selected articles were subjected to critical reading, using the GRADE evaluation to identify their level of evidence and recommendations. The selection of the 10 scientific research articles included: Descriptive correlational 40% (4/10), cross-sectional 30% (3/10), cross-sectional observational 20% (2/10), exploratory descriptive correlational 10% (1/10). The evidence found came from: USA 30%, Canada 20%, Mexico 20%, Switzerland 20%, and Spain 10%. Results: 100% of the found evidence indicates that nursing care rationing is related to quality of care, adverse events, and patient satisfaction. Quality of care 39%, patient satisfaction 33.5%, adverse events 16.5%, and patient safety 11%. Conclusions: Nursing care rationing is related to adverse events and patient satisfaction. All the evidence shows that frequently omitted nursing actions include: Basic nursing care, quality of care, patient satisfaction, adverse events, emotional support, work environment, discharge preparation, patient education to parents, and individual care are most affected.
