Ítem Acceso abierto Functional level and scoliosis in children with infant cerebral palsy at the Matilde Pérez residential center, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-25) Sanchez Lovon, Evan Christopher; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose AntonioNeurorehabilitation aims to prevent complications and reduce postural abnormalities that may occur in children with cerebral palsy. Currently, CP remains the leading cause of motor disability in childhood. Children with this condition present a range of disorders that result in various constant alterations such as increased muscle tone and movement, caused by a non-progressive brain injury. The significant impact of CP is associated with musculoskeletal alterations, which can lead to the development of scoliosis. Therefore, this study aims to explore the relationship between functional level and scoliosis in children with cerebral palsy. The information obtained from this research may contribute important knowledge for evaluation and provide a scientific foundation for establishing appropriate treatment plans, thereby becoming one of the first records to develop this relationship for future investigations.
