Forward position of the head and its relationship with the degree of cervical functionality in the associates of the National Union of the Blind of Peru in the period 2022

Soft tissue alterations are a global problem. Various studies indicate a relationship between postural alterations and cervical disability, with visually impaired people being a high-risk group due to the body image distortions they experience, which progressively affect their posture. Objective: To determine the relationship between forward head posture and cervical functionality in members of the National Union of the Blind of Peru. Materials and Methods: The population consisted of 80 visually impaired individuals, with a sample of the same number selected through a census sampling method. Techniques used included observation for forward head posture and interviews for cervical disability and functionality. Two instruments were employed: photometry for forward head posture and the cervical disability index to measure functionality and cervical disability. The study used a hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach, applied design, and correlational cross-sectional scope.

El presente trabajo tiene Por objetivo determinar la relación entre la incapacidad Por dolor cervical y la calidad de vida en estudiantes con baja visión del centro de educación básica especial (CEBE) LUIS BRAILLE; el método del estudio será hipotético deductivo, además, será no experimental, cuantitativo, correlacional de corte transversal; los instrumentos a emplear serán el índice de discapacidad cervical y el cuestionario de calidad de vida SF-36, los mismos que han sido validados por juicio de expertos; las técnicas a emplear serán la encuesta y la entrevista las cuales serán aplicadas a una muestra de 80 estudiantes con baja visión.
