Publicación Acceso abierto Secuelas producidas por el COVID-19 en los pobladores del distrito de Mórrope – Lambayeque, Perú 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-15) Sandoval Suyón, Lily Del Rocio; Pajar Mantari, Jordy Juan; Cano Pérez, Carlos AlfredoSince the arrival of COVID-19 in Peru, it became a pandemic, directly affecting humans not only with symptoms during the acute phase of SARS-CoV-2 infection but also with the appearance of sequelae caused by this virus after a certain period of time. Objective: To determine the sequelae caused by COVID-19 in the population of the District of Mórrope - Lambayeque, Peru, 2023. Methodology: Using a deductive method, quantitative approach, basic type, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and descriptive level, with a sample of 381 residents who were surveyed. Results: 97.1% of the population suffer from sequelae caused by COVID-19. The most affected gender was male (61.4%), and the predominant age group was between 31-59 years old (69.3%). The identified sequelae were neuromuscular, neurocognitive, pulmonary, digestive, and psychological. Conclusion: It was determined that the sequelae caused by COVID-19 in the population of the District of Mórrope are of a moderate level, with a high incidence frequency of 97.1%. It was also determined that age and gender are factors associated with the presence of these sequelae.
