Publicación Acceso abierto Incidencia de reacciones adversas a medicamentos en pacientes atendidos en la Clínica Internacional sede Lima. 2014–2016(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-20) Santa Cruz Olivos, Juan Edgar; Galarza Quintana, Alex Maycon; Chávez Flores, Juana ElviraThe objective of the present study was to determine the incidence of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) in patients treated at Clínica Internacional, Lima Headquarters, during the period 2014–2016. The study was descriptive, retrospective, and cross-sectional, consisting of the review of 140 ADR suspicion forms. An incidence of 23 cases of ADRs per 100,000 patients treated was determined. The age group with the highest percentage of ADRs was between 30 and 59 years, accounting for 63.6%, and females reported the highest percentage of ADRs with 75.7%. Dermatological ADRs were the most frequently reported, representing 65.6%, mainly described as skin rash, which accounted for 50%. Type B ADRs constituted 75.0%. Age was found to be related to ADRs according to the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) (p < 0.05). Based on the ATC classification, 27.1% of cases were due to contrast media. In addition, 65.0% of ADRs required treatment to reverse the reaction, and 70.0% were classified as probable. It is concluded that the incidence in the present study was 23 per 100,000 patients treated.
