Ítem Acceso abierto Family functionality and school bullying in secondary school adolescents at the Villa Limatambo Educational Institution 7106 - Villa María del Triunfo, 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-20) Santisteban Caballero, Milagros Del Pilar; Ayquipa Vega, Lucia Aydee; Matta Solis, Hernán HugoObjective: Determine the relationship between family functionality and bullying in high school adolescents at the Villa Limatambo Educational Institution 7106 - Villa María del Triunfo, 2018. Method: This research has a quantitative approach, correlational and cross-sectional design. The population was made up of 460 students. The instruments used were Family Apgar, which measures family functionality, and the School Bullying Questionnaire (CIE-A), which measures bullying. Results: In family functionality it was found that 36.3% presented mild dysfunction, 26.1% moderate dysfunction, 25.4% good family function and 12.2% severe dysfunction. In relation to bullying, it was found that 58.5% presented regular bullying, 23.9% did not present bullying and 17.6% presented high bullying and among the dimensions were: Situations of victimization due to bullying, regular bullying predominated with 52.2%; Symptoms of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and effects on self-esteem, regular harassment predominated with 55.2% and intimidation by respondents, 78.5% did not present harassment. There is a correlation between family functionality and bullying in high school adolescents. The Spearman correlation statistical test yielded a correlation index of -.313 (p < 0.05) and a significance index of 0.00. Conclusions: There is a significant moderate inverse proportional relationship between family functionality and bullying. The predominant family functionality was mild dysfunction. In bullying, regular bullying predominated.
