The way nurses provide care is considered an indicator of the quality of care. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to correctly assess the risk of pressure injuries and implement a set of actions and measures aimed primarily to prevent or reduce the occurrence of injuries, primarily in the Medical, Surgical and Emergency units. OBJECTIVE: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of nursing staff about pressure injuries and how to prevent them in hospitalized patients in the Medicine, Surgery and Emergency services of level III hospitals, 2023. METHODOLOGY: The method of this study uses a quantitative method with crosssectional correlation level approach applied hypothesis - deductive type and data will be obtained over time by analyzing relationship between variables. The sample is composed of 121 nurses working in the Medicine, Surgery and Emergency services of a sanatorium in Trujillo. The technique used is a survey and the instrument is two questionnaires to measure each variable, both instruments are previously validated by authors in Perú. The data acquired were processed in Microsoft Excel and then in SPSS 26. The SPEARMAN RHO statistic was used for descriptive and inferential analysis.
