Periodo 2021 - 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-02-27) Flores Gómez, Margarita Iraida; Santos Alvarado, Totita; Parreño Tipián, Juan ManuelObjective: To determine the events supposedly attributable to vaccination or immunization (ESAVI) against COVID-19 among Pharmaceutical Chemist professionals in the Province of Lima, during the period 2021–2024. Methodology: This research is descriptive in nature. The deductive method was used, with a quantitative approach, a non-experimental design, and a cross sectional study. The population consisted of 11,425 licensed and registered Pharmaceutical Chemists in the CQFDL. A convenience sampling of 300 professionals was considered. The technique employed was a survey. Results: Among 300 professionals, 49.3% reported ESAVI, totaling 412 cases. The most frequent were related to the skin and annexes system (29.6%), reported by 102 professionals, followed by the nervous system (23.8%), reported by 88 QFs, and the musculoskeletal system (15.8%), reported by 59 QFs. Headache was the most reported event, affecting 54.1% of professionals who experienced ESAVI, followed by pain (45.9%) and redness (26.3%) at the vaccination site. Most cases lasted one day (51%) and were mild (55.1%). Male professionals and those aged 24 to 59 reported more adverse events lasting three or more days. Musculoskeletal cases were moderate in severity (61.5%), and no severe cases were recorded. Conclusions: Among 300 Pharmaceutical Chemists in Lima, 49.3% (148 individuals) reported at least one ESAVI from COVID-19 vaccines, accounting for 412 cases. The most frequent events affected the skin and annexes system (29.6%), reported by 102 professionals, while headache was the most common specific ESAVI (19.4%), reported by 80 professionals.
