Ítem Acceso abierto Anxiety and coping styles in primary caregivers of patients with schizophrenia of the Esperanza Huánuco Community Mental Health Center – 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-05-28) Santos Sabino, Diana Carolina; Palomino Taquire, RewardsIntroduction: Because schizophrenia is one of the most disabling mental health problems, the person who meets the need for patient care is the primary caregiver. Primary caregivers of people with schizophrenia often have strong and varied emotional responses, such as anxiety, and use certain coping styles and strategies to improve their well-being and mental health. Objective: To establish the relationship between anxiety and coping styles in primary caregivers of patients with schizophrenia at the Esperanza Community Mental Health Center, Huánuco-2023. Methods: The study of applied, inductive, quantitative and correlational type. The census sample will consist of 90 primary caregivers of patients with schizophrenia from the Esperanza Community Mental Health Center - Huánuco 2023. The survey will be used to apply two questionnaires to the target population; Manifest Anxiety in Adults-A by Sotelo, Domínguez and Padilla, and the Inventory of Coping Styles by Cano, Rodríguez and García, both are validated and are reliable to measure the variables in question. The collected data will be processed in SPSS 26 and the hypotheses will be tested using the statistical test of Spearman's correlation coefficient given the qualitative nature of the variables.
