    Metacognición y estrategias de aprendizaje autónomo en estudiantes de idiomas del primer ciclo de una Universidad Nacional de Lima, 2023

    The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between metacognition and autonomous learning strategies focused on language students from a national university in Lima, 2023, considering metacognition as the first variable versus autonomous learning strategies as the second variable. In this sense, six autonomous learning strategies were considered to dimension the analysis of results; these were: scale-up strategy, collaboration, conceptualization, planning, test preparation, and participation. Thus, a hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach was applied with a non-experimental cross-sectional design in a sample of 120 language students at a public university in Lima. For data collection, the survey technique was applied and two questionnaires with a Likert-type scale were used as instruments, one for each variable, which presented a high Cronbach's Alpha reliability index of 0.863 and 0.964. To determine the relationship between the variables, the Spearman correlation coefficient (α=0.05) was used. As a main conclusion, it was found that the level of relationship is significant, direct and of a moderate level with a p-value of 0.000 and a level of correlation of Rho= 0.402; which means that if students acquire greater mastery of their metacognitive skills, their autonomous learning will be favored.
