Method: Inductive-deductive, quantitative approach, basic observational research type, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The study included 322 residents of the Virgen del Carmen human settlement. Results: COVID-19 remains a recurring contagion problem among people, which is why it is significant and necessary to continue with protective measures. For this reason, it is important to measure and identify the level of knowledge to understand the reality of the population. This research allows us to guide the behavior of residents. Regarding the level of knowledge about the treatment of COVID-19, the results showed that 46.3% (n=149) have a medium level of knowledge about the treatment. According to the data, the lack of knowledge about treatment will be an obstacle for residents to take preventive measures and avoid self-treatment. Regarding the level of knowledge about the treatment of COVID-19, it was shown that 16.1% of women have a high level of knowledge, while only 7.5% of men have a high level of knowledge. This difference may be due to access to information.
