Unidades críticas de un hospital nacional de ATE Vitarte, Lima-setiembre 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-10-02) De La Puente Muguerza, Doris Angelly; Severino Pérez, Giovanna Tania; Maguiña Palma, Misael EriksonObjective: To determine the relationship between stress and coping strategies in nurses of COVID19 patients in critical units of a National Hospital in Ate Vitarte, Lima - September 2023. Materials and methods: This was hypothetical deductive research, with a quantitative approach and non-experimental design; specifically, a cross-sectional correlational type; the variables, stress and coping strategies were analyzed in a population of 107 professional nurses working at Lima Este Vitarte Hospital. The instruments used for data collection were "the Nursing Stress Scale to measure the level of stress" and the "Rudolf H Moos Coping Responses Inventory adapted by Dr. I.M. Mikulic, with Cronbach's Alpha reliability 0.890 for stress and for the coping strategies variable, Cronbach's Alpha reliability 0.83. Results: 51.4% of nursing professionals show low levels of stress, 58.9% of nursing professionals show medium levels in the coping strategies variable. Conclusion: Significance level 0.000 <0.05 and Spearman's rho: 0.579, therefore it is concluded that there is a moderate significant relationship between stress and coping strategies in nursing professionals at the Lima Este Hospital, 2023.
