Publicación Acceso abierto Integración de TIC como herramienta pedagógica para el desarrollo de competencias en comprensión lectora en ciencias naturales en el grado noveno de básica secundaria de la Institución Educativa “Divina Pastora” sede Eusebio Septimio Mari del municipio de Riohacha, la Guajira-Colombia, 2014(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-07-14) Sierra Barros, Yaniris Clarecida; Maguiña Vizcarra, Milagros JaquelineThe present research aims to address a problem presented in the process of reading comprehension in students in the area of natural sciences in the ninth grade students. Likewise, it was intended to explain how competences in reading comprehension can be developed in this area with the implementation of different virtual tools. To do this, it was necessary to design under the guidance of TIC methodological strategies in web 2.0 such as the use of a blog, some activities on the Moodle platform, videos on You tube, local virtual tools such as video bean, USB memory, cell phones Among others, which evaluated the influence they could have on learning processes to achieve this goal. We worked with a population of 77 students that corresponded to 100% of the groups of the ninth degree of the educational headquarters, being taken as nonprobabilistic sample at the discretion of the investigator 52 of these, considering that it was a representative sample of the group. It is a type of descriptive research with a quasi-experimental design. In the first place a survey was applied to identify the degree of interest among the students to work with virtual learning tools. An instrument for data collection was then designed and applied, which was a questionnaire which met the indicators that responded to the dimensions of the work. For the validation of the instrument, the data obtained in the pre-test questionnaire based on the categories of the Likert scale and with the support of the formula of the Cronbach Alpha coefficient were taken into account. This instrument was applied in the form of Input Test and Output Test whose contrast of results allows us to affirm that the Competences in Comprehension in the area of Natural Sciences have improved by 65% in general level. Periodic observations were also made on the incorporation of the virtual tools in the pedagogical process between pre-test and post-test. This research is framed in the line of Technological Didactic Tools of support to the teaching-learning according to the one posed by the Wiener University.
