Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy versus interpersonal psychotherapy, to reduce depressive disorders in psychiatric patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-09-22) Sosa Gavidia, Diana Araly; Sosa Guerra, Romyna Vanessa; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleMaterials and methods: 56 scientific articles were reviewed and a sample was taken that consisted of 10 articles, of which were published and indicated in databases such as: Researchgate, Sciencedirect, Scielo, Epistemonikos, PubMed The data collection procedure was developed through the systematic review of international research articles. Results: According to results obtained from the 10 articles of which they were systematically reviewed, 100% of which are of high quality 50% point out that cognitive behavioral therapy is more effective than interpersonal psychotherapy in reducing depressive disorders in psychiatric patients. 40% mention that cognitive behavioral therapy is similar to interpersonal psychotherapy in reducing depressive disorders in psychiatric patients. 10% point out that interpersonal psychotherapy is more effective than cognitive behavioral therapy in reducing depressive disorders in psychiatric patients. Conclusions: taking into account that 100% of the articles are of high quality, there is not enough evidence to affirm that one of these therapies is better in addressing depression; However, cognitive behavioral psychotherapy could be recommended due to its proven effectiveness.
