    Emotional dependence and aggressiveness in young adults from the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, 2021

    The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between emotional dependence and aggression in young adults from the district of San Juan de Lurigancho. The study type is descriptive correlational, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design and non-probabilistic sampling, with a sample of 176 young adults (94 men and 82 women) aged 18 to 30 years. The instruments used were the Emotional Dependence Questionnaire "CDE" (2006) and the Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire "AQ," Peruvian adaptation (2012). The results showed a direct and significant correlation between both variables (rho = 0.318, p < 0.00), meaning that young adults who exhibit emotional dependence tend to express aggressive behaviors, aiming to hurt others physically, psychologically, or sexually.
