Publicación Acceso abierto Percepción y actuación de profesionales de la salud en la prescripción de medicamentos genéricos en centros asistenciales de Lima 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-10-05) Soto Goya, Kenji Jesús; León Apac, Gabriel EnriqueThe general objective of this research was to describe the perception and actions of healthcare professionals regarding the prescription of generic drugs in healthcare centers in Lima in 2021. For this purpose, a non-experimental, descriptive, and cross-sectional design was used. The population was all healthcare professionals in Lima, and a probabilistic sample of 384 professionals was selected. A structured virtual questionnaire, previously validated by experts and with a high reliability (0.82), was applied to them. The results indicate that 87.8% of the sample had a high level of perception of generic drugs, and 64.8% of the healthcare professionals were at a high level of generic drug prescription. It was concluded that the overall perception and prescription actions regarding generic drugs in Lima's healthcare centers in 2021 indeed depend on intervening factors such as being a doctor, not having a specialization, and being between 26 and 35 years old. The dimensions of knowledge, confidence, professional competence, and legal-commercial aspects were also found to be significantly related to these intervening factors (p≤0.05).
