    The study determined that the nursing interventions were effective, through specialized care from a stoma nurse, preoperative marking of the ostomy area, education, counseling, follow-up and home visits, which contributed to reducing complications, reducing hospital costs and readmissions, contributing significantly to improving the quality of life of patients.
