San Juan de Lurigancho – 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-06-09) Ramos Aguilar, Nelson Vladimir; Sullca Choque, Rolanda; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoCardiovascular diseases are a group of disorders of the heart and blood vessels. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of cardiovascular diseases and attitudes toward pharmacological treatment in people visiting the C&Q Farma Pharmacy in San Juan de Lurigancho in 2021. Method: The study had a non-experimental design of a basic type, with a quantitative, descriptive-correlational, prospective, and cross-sectional approach. Results: The lower the level of knowledge about cardiovascular diseases, the greater the disagreement in attitude toward lifestyle (37.5%). A lower level of knowledge also corresponded to a greater disagreement in attitude toward treatment compliance (29.5%). Furthermore, a lower level of knowledge about cardiovascular diseases corresponded to a greater disagreement in attitude toward treatment compliance (34.7%). Conclusion: Greater knowledge of cardiovascular diseases leads to a better attitude toward pharmacological treatment among the surveyed individuals, as a low level of knowledge was evidenced to negatively impact the attitude of respondents, leading to disagreement.
