Ítem Acceso abierto Academic stress in first-term students of the Professional Academic School of Nursing at Norbert Wiener University, 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-07-27) Sullca Vila, Giuliana Soledad; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeObjective: determine the level of academic stress in students of the first cycle of the professional academic school of nursing at the Norbert Wiener University 2020. Methods: study with a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional approach. The population was 165 nursing students from the first cycle 2020 I, no statistical formula was used for the sample because we worked with 38% of the population, which is equivalent to 62 students selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria set out in the study. . The instrument used was the SISCO Inventory structured by 23 items and has a reliability of 0.933 in Cronbach's alpha. Results: the level of academic stress was 9.7% mild stress, 22.6% severe stress and 67.7% moderate stress. The stressor dimension was the overload of tasks and jobs with a mean of 3.84, the symptom dimension was chronic fatigue with a mean of 3.13 and the major coping strategy used was to analyze the positive and negative of the solutions designed with an average of 4.00. Conclusion: The level of academic stress of nursing students in the morning shift of the first cycle is moderate at 67.7%.Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practices of self-care in older adults with arterial hypertension from a national hospital in Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-11) Sullca Vila, Giuliana Soledad; Suarez Valderrama, Yurik AnatoliThe purpose of this research is to address a health problem that affects our elderly worldwide, bringing with it multiple organic complications if the patient does not carry out an adequate self-care practice. The main objective is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and self-care practices in older adults with arterial hypertension at a National Hospital in Lima. A deductive method study was carried out with a quantitative approach, a non-experimental design of a correlational type. It consists of two instruments; the first questionnaire of knowledge about arterial hypertension has 5 dimensions and contains 21 items with dichotomous answers YES or NO, validity by expert judgment and AIKEN V coefficient with a value of 0.97, reliability through the test of Kuder - Richardson obtaining a coefficient of 0.72. The second questionnaire on self-care practices has 3 dimensions and 23 items, with a Likert scale response, validity was by expert judgment and a V AIKEN coefficient of 0.99, while reliability was through the Alpha Coefficient test. Cronbach obtaining a coeficiente of 0.76.
