The sample was made up of 354 older adult patients who reside in the San Antonio - Chosica urbanization, the instrument was a validated questionnaire of our own development. Results: a significant relationship was observed between the perception of pharmacotherapeutic follow-up and pharmaceutical care (p < 0.05), with a correlation coefficient Rho = +0.508; therefore, a direct and positive relationship of medium magnitude. Significant relationships were found between the dimensions of pharmacotherapeutic follow-up and the dimensions of the perception of care in older adult patients. In dispensing, the correlation was weak (Rho = +0.208, p < 0.05). In orientation, a medium-low correlation was observed (Rho = +0.413, p < 0.05). Confidence showed a similar relationship (Rho = +0.386, p < 0.05), as did satisfaction, which was associated with better follow-up (Rho = +0.369, p < 0.05). It is concluded that pharmacotherapeutic monitoring has a positive impact on the perception of pharmaceutical care among older adult patients in San Antonio - Chosica, highlighting the importance of the role of the pharmaceutical chemist in improving health outcomes and patient satisfaction through continuous and systematic monitoring.
