    Critical review: metabolic syndrome in healthcare workers

    The objective of the research was to carry out a review of the scientific literature in relation to the presence of metabolic syndrome in health care workers with rotating shifts. The methodology used was Evidence-Based Nutrition (NUBE). For the search, MeSH and DeCS descriptors were considered, which were carried out in the databases: PUBMED, Scielo, Redalyc, Science Direct and BVS, 105 articles were found, after reading 16 articles were selected. The systematic review, Systematic review of shift work and nurses' health, was selected, which was evaluated with the CASPe tool, which presents a level of evidence I and a grade of recommendation B. The conclusions obtained allow us to verify a close relationship between the rotating schedule with metabolic diseases mediated by a systemic inflammatory process
