    Performance of the Geneexpert MTB/RIF test in the diagnosis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in respiratory and non-respiratory samples of the Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue Lima-Perú 2020.

    This research used a descriptive, basic methodology with a qualitative approach. The main objective was to determine the performance of the Genexpert MTB/RIF test in diagnosing Mycobacterium tuberculosis in respiratory and non-respiratory samples, as tuberculosis remains a public health issue. Given that the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital is a reference hospital for this pathology, located in areas of high population density requiring rapid and timely diagnosis, the Genexpert MTB/RIF test stands out due to its qualities. The performance of the Genexpert MTB/RIF test was evaluated by comparing it to solid culture as the Gold Standard, assessing diagnostic parameters. It was shown that the Genexpert MTB/RIF test had good performance compared to the Gold Standard in diagnosing Mycobacterium tuberculosis in both respiratory and non-respiratory samples from the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital.
