Publicación Acceso abierto Caraterización de la automedicación del paracetamol en usuarios que asisten a la botica Roman del distrito de San Antonio – provincia de Huarochirí, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-08-05) Tarazona Moya, Evaluz Mabel; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoThe objective of this research was to identify the characteristics of users who self-medicate with paracetamol at the Botica Roman in the District of San Antonio, Huarochiri Province, in 2022. Method: The study used a basic quantitative approach with a non-experimental design. A sample of 385 people and a pilot sample of 50 people were given a questionnaire. Results: The research obtained the characterization of users who self-medicate with paracetamol. Males were the most likely to self-medicate, at 65.8%. The age group of 18–24 years had the highest rate of self-medication (81.1%). The most common marital status was single (58.7%), and the educational level was higher education (47.9%). The most common health insurance affiliation was Essalud (44.4%). The salary of those who self-medicated was between S/ 1,001 and S/ 2,000 soles. The most common occupation was dependent employment, at 51.7%. Conclusion: Of the 385 surveyed, 119 users self-medicated, 93 had a medical prescription, and 173 did not consume.
