    Uso adecuado de antiinflamatorios no esteroideos en pacientes que acuden en la botica FARMASU en el distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima 2023

    The objective of this study is to analyze the proper use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) among patients visiting the FARMASU pharmacy in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, in 2023. The research methodology is non-experimental, deductive, quantitative, and applied. The population consisted of all patients who frequented the FARMASU pharmacy in San Juan de Lurigancho during March to May 2023. A questionnaire was administered to them after obtaining informed consent. Results indicate that 51% of patients purchase medications only when prescribed by healthcare professionals, 49.5% reported that healthcare professionals always explain how to use NSAIDs, and 63.5% stated they are attended by a pharmacist when purchasing the medication. Conclusion: It was determined that patients visiting the FARMASU pharmacy in San Juan de Lurigancho demonstrate proper use of NSAIDs. However, while a significant proportion of patients have a high level of knowledge and take NSAIDs with medical prescriptions, there remains a considerable number of patients who lack awareness of the rational use of NSAIDs.
