Juliaca 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-05-27) Taza Choque, Bertha; Lizarraga Alata, Denisse Gaby; Esteves Pairazaman, Ambrocio TeodoroThe research aimed to establish the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes toward emergency oral contraception in users attended at FARMAPERU pharmacies. Methodology: The study was hypothetical-deductive with a quantitative approach, basic type, non-experimental, and descriptive-correlational design. The representative sample consisted of 144 users who visited FARMAPERU pharmacies, and a questionnaire was used for data collection. The statistical test applied was Chi-square. Results: Regarding the level of knowledge about "emergency oral contraception," the majority had a medium level (75%), with general knowledge being low (49.3%) and medium (48.6%), knowledge about its use being medium (56.9%), and knowledge about its mode of action being low (68.1%). Regarding attitudes, the majority showed a favorable attitude (86.1%). The p-value was less than 0.05 (0.048) between "level of knowledge and attitudes." Conclusion: It was established that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes toward emergency oral contraception.
